| Measurement of neutron capture cross sections relevant for nuclear waste transmutation, by alpha and gamma spectroscopy |

We have performed neutron irradiations at the High Flux Reactor of the Institut Laue-Langevin (Grenoble) on ${}^{243}Am$ and ${}^{242}Pu$ targets. Using $\\gamma$ and $\\alpha$ spectroscopy of irradiated samples, we have measured Maxwell averaged neutron capture cross sections, respectively $(74.8 \\pm 3.3)~b$ and $(22.7 \\pm 1.1)~b$, in a 98\\% thermal neutron spectrum at $T \\simeq 50^\\circ C$.
